saw this bird on the hereford/wales border near longtown today, it circled over my head and gave the impression of being quite small, it was flying more like a bop than a heron, when i looked through bins it looked a browny orange colour, i managed a couple of pics. wonder if you could help me...

i had a very 'sandpipery' day today! these were the birds seen at slimbridge *1 semi palmated sandpiper 1 buff breasted sandpiper 1 dotteral 1 arctic tern 20+ curlew sandpiper 5+ little stint 200+ dunlin a few sanderling lydney harbour: *1 spotted sandpiper 1 snipe |=)||=)|

buckinghamshire seems to have moved into the atlantic...!
