Cool shot Scott......why don't you set up a new thread for Eagle Marsh Nature Reserve, Fort Wayne. Not certain whether it's a gallery or not but fellow naturalists/birders in your area can share and compare without you worrying about posting too many shots. Upton Warren and Grimley are my local...

I think they are bulletproof as far as condensation, rain, cold, heat etc.... But only time will tell. Went out this morning early 6.00am ....see photo below of dawn. If you go to the threads for " Grimley and Holt " from today you'll see the shots I took this morning... Got great ones of Red...

Hi Scott When I digiscope I get similar results to you at a distance.....(the ducks just won't keep still !! ). It's much easier in the garden. Your pics show a good array of ducks though, similar to near me...your second pic foreground, beak in water is a female Ringed Neck.....the Green Wing...

Scott.....Your photos and patience are excellent...... It's great fun and very satisfying. I'm still on my IPad but realise now that it hasn't the capacity to send more than one pic at a time.....it's an old one.

I know this thread has changed because of our circumstances but these are worrying times - it seems that Italy will be going to total lockdown with full home confinement as their deaths rise to near 4000 and Iran are experiencing 1 death every 10 minutes and California has also locked down...

Hi Scott Went out very early today to avoid contact and drove to a place near Worcester (quite an old historical town). Not certain whether the virus can get through my air re-circulation system in the car.....hope it's safe to drive. There was loads to see - activity was high, raptors...

I was only joking about abandoning.....I've seen your other threads elsewhere so I thought I'd pull your leg. I've used Field Optics from the States for eyepiece shades ( the rubber things that shield the Suns Ray's) which are good by the way. Use them with my Vanguard Endeavor Hoyas 8x42. I...

Hi Scott...... So you've abandoned me, Jo & Henry and broadened your horizons searching for the holy grail of digiscoping ....lol. It was obviously my upside down blurry pics that did it. Put my face mask and gloves on today to try and catch a shot of a Red Crested Pochard at a local nature...

Hey Scott.... That's just greedy....2 Bald Eagles looking dressed to kill ! Looks like Joachim and Henry know there stuff ..... But here's mine - Weifeng tripod and Weifeng fluid head, not cheap but not expensive either (they came with the scope ;) ) and to add to the display my Zeiss 10x42...

Henry good advice..... I'll ignore/increase the magnification and have been doing that already. This is a 5 year old 20-75 zoom..... Is that an old one in your opinion? Does the new Harpia suffer the same? So the marks are not on the objective? AND yes Zeiss will no doubt rectify this for...

Hi Joachim..... Where will they be then. On mine at x20 focusing the eyepiece to its extreme at 20 - they appear as slight bubbles and black marks not flecks. I've had specs/flecks in binoculars and these are definitely within glass somewhere. At 20 I can look sidewise and they appear more...

Hi Joachim I have the same problem as Scott with my Diascope..... I said to him that others on the Forum have experienced the similar and after much reading around the problem it appears to be bubbles either in the glass or coatings on the objective lens....a problem I think that Zeiss have...

Hi Binastro..... I've read many of your posts. You really are well informed and thanks for your advice. It's not being able to see my kids and grand children that will unsettle me.... We are the ones that do the school runs and baby sit and now all of that has to be curtailed for the...
