I saw a red crested Pochard at Carsington Water three weeks agon and forgot to add it to the list. Also went down to a friends in South wales and called into Porthcawl in the hope of seeing some of these storm blown Leache's Petrels. I managed to see 5+ straight away.

Had a few days in Cornwall. Fantastic weather, not a cloud in the sky for four days. No good for birds though as virtually all the migrants seem to have flown. I added two for the year.

My list swelled rapidly when I took a trip to Turkey with Steve Lister. His amazing skills at picking out birds, knowing their calls certainly gobsmacked me and his knowledge helped in getting me quite a few birds I would have struggled with.
