Not sure what you mean by context. They had just landed after riding up the river and were hoping to see Rheas laying eggs. Widow Tyrant?
I'm reading Zoo Quest in Paraguay by David Attenborough, and travelling south to Argentina he mentions a bird he calls a Widow Tyrant. He describes it as "pure white except for the tip of its tail and its primaries, which are black" I googled Widow Tyrant (in tyrannidae) but not find an image...- Cyclops
