New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

Chosun, I agree with Lee and think the SF 42 has been around long enough. Wider FOV means a lot to most hunters, some birders, and Dennis. |;| Zeiss needs to address the NL, jmo.

I like how you think, Quincy! :t:

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

Thanks, Jan. All I knew at the time is what I read on some of the forums and saw on YouTube videos stating Zeiss owned and controlled Schott glass. I assumed they were right but I know, "never assume anything"!

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

As you probably know, Zeiss owns Schott so they get to use any new style glass Schott brings out first. They did exactly that with the HT glass back in 2013 and kept it for themselves at first. There were a number of sources on the net and videos on YouTube stating that fact. Around 2 to 3 years...

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

Thanks, Lee. I was seriously thinking about getting an NL Pure but I'm leaning toward a response from Zeiss. Besides, Zeiss does have priority on Schott glass vs everyone else so waiting to see what Zeiss brings out might be the best way to go. :t:

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

I wonder how long it will take Zeiss to respond to the NL Pure. :brains: What do you think, Lee ?

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

I suppose it's a fair trade with Swarovski copying the HT focus wheel and Zeiss copying the EL body style with their SF. I do love the focus wheel of my HT better than any other I've ever felt before. Would love to get a Swarovski NL 12x42 and Zeiss 10x32 SF knowing they both have the same focus...

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

Dennis, you're the only person that has ever made a statement like that in my memory. You're saying...you "can easily see" the edges at the exact same time as well as you do the center view and clearly correct ? I cannot and have never been able to do what you say you can do. It's not possible...

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

Unless I'm comparing one brand to another, I never pay much attention to the edge of the FOV in my binoculars. It's actually not natural as one's focus automatically falls into the center of the view. It can cause eyestrain to focus too much on the edge as anyone who is into optics already knows.

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

I was thinking about getting the 10x32 SF, Dennis. But when I saw the new 12x42 NL Pure, I now want those. Why? ...because they're there! |8)| Besides, I started with Swarovski and it's about time I returned, I suppose. ...and like I mentioned before, I still get to keep my favorite adjusting...

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

So far, nothing has come along in the last 7 years to make me want to replace my somewhat old 10x42 Zeiss HT. But I really like the new Swarovski 12x42 NL Pure. I don't think their hourglass figure is as handsome as my HT but they look good enough and love the field of view. Like the new...
