:-O:-O:-O Because most Finnish birders feel the need to I guess.

Historically, we could have seen an 8 and a 10 x 56 SF with an RF option for the hunting stalking and surveying brigade. What market/end user would a x 12 appeal to? I personally think this is where the x 12 NL Pure is aimed ( pardon any unintentional pun ).

Thank you. What surprised me most is that the reviewer and dealer offering a €300 reduction if you pre ordered. Sorry for being grumpy, it's too hot for this Brit! I just feel it cheapens, devalues and takes the gloss off an exciting new product

Depends how big their brown envelope was, compared to yours, when you pre ordered and offered a little gift incentive to your dealer! Dont start fretting or loosing sleep that you'll miss out first time round. Told you to back up with an 8 x 32 SF, just in case. Wont be long before their...

"Seek and ye shall find"....... Mathew 7.7 Not everyone see's this distortion in general viewing, or is even aware of it's existence. It won't be an issue to the majority of owners, if indeed it is reported as being present by some users / testers. It seems such a pity for me that some users...

Perhaps then we should resist putting up commercial offers and "amazing deals" from unknown sources or overegging a favoured supplier. By all means recommend a reliable outlet but dont go ballistic please. Thankfully someone did some digging and discovery. For me, a good dealer is a "shop type"...

Perhaps this advert and the seller should be reported to that auction website as they lied to you and appear to be misleading customers. One would like to believe that Swarovski Optik look down on misrepresentation of their corporate beliefs by not supplying them with units.

I do hope that you are high up in the queue for the pre orders with your supplier! Otherwise how will you cope if you've missed the cut and have to make do with your only pair of Swarovski EL SV 8 x 32s for months on end. Perhaps you might consider a contingency plan and pre order a 32 mm SF...

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

I imagine that some people just want to be amongst the first to have and use a new product so pre ordering is the way to secure that desire. And getting sufficient initial stock in from the manufacture is always tricky...... you dont want to have money tied up in surplus units hanging around...

Have you read this thread from the start and subsequently LGM? You mentioned it back in your post #147 (ref. hunters and rifle owners) and it has been discussed at length since then.

Yes, you cannot be from this planet. My extreme peripheral vision is fuzzy whilst looking straight ahead. Another vote for a pin sharp sweet spot and wide field of view. I only see the extreme edges if I flick my eyes to one side. I haven't been diagnosed with carpal tunnel vision syndrome as yet.

Which equates or replicates to you moving the binoculars up and down whilst observing a subject, not something I usually do when endeavouring to keep everything steady.

The 8 x 32 EL Field Pro is a fantastic binocular and has been commented to the nth degree on here. The only negative I've taken note of is that some do not like the strap design. Why delay, unless you have ideas about the Zeiss SF 32, then it will be the NL Pure 32 in a couple of years. Deal...

Nothing wrong with being optimistic, excited and interested in a new product and concept - some even describing the looks as "sexy". What if it performs as good as it looks. I currently own Zeiss and Leica but have owned Swarovski. Accordingly, I cannot think of a Swarovski optic that I have...

Posts #213, 216, 253 mentioned the diopter. Perhaps distracted by racing bikes. Agree Lee, when I visited the factory some 15 years ago, the whole experience and particularly the presentation in the amazing board room I described at the time as "slick", not to suggest that Zeiss and Leoca...

That is pushing it in terms of interpretation. I see the forehead rest as more of a viewing comfort aid rather than a power / energy supported system - no circuitry, wires etc. You could go back further then to suggest and argue that the much maligned Finnstick was IS!

I watched the video today, the diopter adjustment is not designed to be locked in ("flip flop") / integrated into the focusing wheel. Interesting departure from the EL. Looks a very interesting binocular, and that forehead rest is so intriguing. I wonder how many will persevere after initially...
