https://www.vogelinformatiecentrum.nl/review-swarovski-nl-pure-10x42-12x42/ It sounds like the Head Rest works amazingly well. The 12x42 NL with the Head Rest is steadier than the 10x42 NL without it according to the review.

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

I think the NL 12x42 would be a pretty good binocular for astronomy also but as Dries said it will not compete with the 12x50. The bigger aperture will go deeper into the night sky revealing much fainter objects with higher limiting magnitudes.

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

The Best thing to do is get on the pre-order list and then hopefully you will get a pair in September. If you wait you could be looking at a year wait because I have heard the demand is exceeding the supply.

No, and I kind of have been looking. Swarovski says not till September 1.

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

I agree the 12x42 NL was not designed for astronomy but it would be perfect for hunters and birders looking for a little more reach with the head rest helping to stabilize them. In astronomy aperture is everything when you are observing faint objects. The NL 12x42 would give you nice WF views of...

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

"The NL:s are most likely the final binoculars. There will never be any better binoculars. Ever." Never say never! I thought that when Swarovski introduced the EL Swarovision now the NL comes along and blows it in the ditch!

I am curious if the SF or the NL will hit the market first. I am betting the NL.

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

I think the 10x42 will be the biggest seller because that will be the size most hunters will buy.

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

You would get THREE bars of soap that way! You might have enough soap to take a bath with it. Just imagine soaking in that genuine Swarovski soap with the NL in hand looking at your toes! Who all has pre-ordered the NL as of today. I am curious how many could be in front of me in the queue. I...

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

No, I just pre-ordered the 8x42. I like 8x42 the best. Best DOF, biggest FOV, most stable, bright in low light and enough magnification for just about everything. I did order the head rest also. I think it will help even with 8x.

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

NL Pure. All the reviews are commenting on how sharp and clear the on-axis view is and how good the micro contrast is and the NL Pure will have sharper edges than the other three plus you have the ergonomic advantages of the molded optical tubes and the head rest for stabilization. There is a...

It wouldn't work. The WX has to be BIG to get all that glass in there!

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

Just wait till the NL 10x42 come out and try one yourself. Buy it from a seller with a good return policy and compare it with your EL 10x42 and if you don't think the improvements are worth it return it. That is the only way you will ever really make an honest evaluation and decide for yourself...

"So far I've managed to test almost 400 pairs of binoculars. Most of my tests can be found on Optyczne.pl and Allbinos.com. My private collection features over 100 classic devices, some of them are, undoubtedly, excellent optical instruments produced by such renowned companies as Docter...

Really! The NL have all new plasma coatings in addition to all the other improvements. Wow, this is a big update for Swarovski. No wonder there is a waiting list!

What good is the voucher then?;)

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

I don't know I think the improved micro contrast, resolution, bigger FOV, smoother and better located focuser, better forward balance, better glare control, more stable view with the head rest and improved ergonomics with the tapered tubes would be enough justification. This is the biggest...

I like that 2500 euro's in a voucher. What else do you sell besides optics?

They did that when they came out with the Swarovsions didn't they? That would be a good idea.

John's picture looks pretty close compared to this actual side by side picture of the NL and the EL.

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

I can't see how the NL's design is borrowed from the Zeiss HT as far as the tube design. The HT has the same normal big fat "Rocket Shaped" tubes as most Zeiss. Nowhere near as ergonomic as the new slimmer molded tubes of the NL. The NL's are molded like they took a piece of clay and made...

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

John. Very nice! Thanks! The old EL is actually bigger in length and width but the NL is a little taller with the higher focuser. The old EL looks bigger and bulkier next to the new NL with its slimmer tubes especially.

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

We all differ on what we consider a "good' dealer. Buying binoculars in the US is different from in the UK. For your information, I have purchased a lot of binoculars on eBay and many of them Swarovski's for a considerable discount and never had a problem. Many came from sellers in the UK...
