    Why are some people vehemently against reintroductions?

    As far as I know there is little if any evidence for the British status of almost all of the species listed; only Pool Frog and Pond Tortoise Are the exceptions.

    From my point of view, I would prefer it if reintroductions were not needed, as I feel it is exerting too much control over nature.
