What price range gets most for your money?
Buy the very best you can afford plus a bit more and use and enjoy them. Definitely try before buying, or buy somewhere reputable with a good return policy. Reputable dealers understand that there is no "one size fits all" in binoculars. Best of luck.- Maljunulo

I would say 1. decide how much is the absolute most you want to spend. 2. get advice and read reviews on what is the best glass for that price. 3. buy, use, and enjoy, secure in the knowledge that you got the best for your eyes, for the money you were willing to spend.
