    Somewhat better, Christian ... Maybe just one bracket/parenthesis too much: However, I don't think brackets/parenthesis are applicable on all, not on every single taxon! :oops: For example, as I understand it, the Authorships (and years) of the Birds in Vireo and Amazilia shouldn't be in...

    Christian, I would also suggest that the list of taxa (on top of the Authorship/s) ought to include the year/s of description/publication, as well as brackets/parenthesis (when appropriate that is, of course). Just to make it a bit more easy to understand. Maybe worth considering?

    Quick one ... (for what it's worth) NHM has some of his correspondence (here and here). Also see here. As well, see the following ditto from/in AMNH (here), or here. Other than this (and what's told earlier in this thread) I know absolutely nothing about this guy. I'd never even heard of him...
