    Many thanks for this detailed observation. Long-tailed is what I had thought it to be too. Because of the 'double spur' ,as you call it, in the wing patch ('inverted U' in the guide I refered). I have another (vague) image here of the wings Thank you once again 🙏

    Hi. The photos were taken in Feb this year at Shillong in Meghalaya state of India. The first two are of the same bird, my guess is slaty backed flycatcher. Would like a confirmation. It was high up in the pine trees and silent. The third pic looks to be a wrabler. Spotted in a fruit tree, was...

    Large-billed crow. Usually about in overcast conditions. Bigger than the jungle crow of the plains. And like them not very many in numbers. They probably replace the house crow here in hills.
