What did you see in your binoculars today?

A Skylark fluttering up, singing and hanging in the perfect position relative to me and the low sun behind me which allowed me a great view in the 12x50s.

What did you see in your binoculars today?

Today, a flock of about 50 Oystercatchers skitting about here and there before settling in one group as the afternoon went on. They were mixed in with a few Curlews and Ringed Plovers (not as many of either as the last time I was in that spot). This time however they were mixed in with a group...

What did you see in your binoculars today?

Only a short escape from the desk yesterday, but a productive one. On the way to one of my most reliable raptor valleys I had the 8x on my chest and the 12x in my pack. Soon after starting to walk I saw a flash of red move into a tree above me on the left and squawk - a Greater Spotted...

What did you see in your binoculars today?

Went up the hill near my house with the wind turbine on top when we had a break in the cloud today. Saw in the binoculars when at a distance a bird that had similar colouring to Buzzards which you often see up there - whitish underneath and with sharply dappled/patterned brown markings on the...

What did you see in your binoculars today?

Wow, yes that's exactly what I saw. Great pictures BTW. I assume with a DSLR and long lens?

What did you see in your binoculars today?

A lone Red Kite being hassled continuously by a group of about 10 Rooks wherever it went in the valley behind my house. They were very close so I could see in the 12x that the Kite had something in its talons, I think a mouse or rat because I could see something thin like a tail dangling, and it...
