    A pair of Red-bellied woodpeckers in the act of mating. I see them everyday but, in 32 years, have never caught them in the act!

    Bill, We have plenty of yellow-shafted flickers in our PA backyard forest. In Alberta, we've encountered numerous red-shafted flickers but no intergrades. Thanks for the photo! We'll be in Aberta in June and I'll be looking for an intergrade. John
