    This year...since Helen's visit, a whole extended family of Beerbarum-King parrots have stayed the adults less often but Sub adults and juveniles of both gender are such a joy to watch as their feathers take on either green4girls or Scarlet4boyz!

    I got quite a fright when i realised that the stick i'd nearly trodden on was actually a 'Swamp tiger snake" Keelback! It is the first time i'd ever seen one...just lucky i had m'camera!

    This poor goanna was being harrassed by the birds..i joined in with my trusty fuji, the poor thing had lost at least four inches from the end of it's tail! A cxlose call 'i'd say'

    It's wattle-seed season! At this time each year Australian King Parrots come for our wattle-seed. This year there have been several juviniles both genders and 2 adult males 1Adult female! More this year than anytime since we've been here!

    After hearing my voice, this little Scalybreasted Lorikeet couldn't healp himself, he flew in, sat on a cusion on the sofa and had a little chat, after which he flew out to his partner on the front deck!
