    Leica eye candy....

I AGREE...this IS the best time of the year! Ours are warblers and vireos mostly. Tanagers and grosbeaks too. And let's not forget the orioles. We get the Sandhills...and a lot of them...by the thousands in the winter along with 5 to 20 whooping cranes. And an OCCASIONAL swan of some type.

    Leica eye candy....

Quickly...I purchased one NIB from what seemed like a reputable seller in Hong Kong. BTW, I have bought optics from Japan, Canada, Poland, Italy, Greece, The Netherlands, others? without issue. Actually excellent purchases. Not Hong Kong. Purchased it. They say it is hung up in customs. Never...

I actually tried to get this whole outfit in the fall...from Hong Kong....needless to say it didn't work out too well since ya'll haven't SEEN it! Suffice to say my one and LAST attempt at buying an optic on eBay from Hong Kong went wrong.

    Leica eye candy....

Thanks! It would easily be either of the 7X ones. I'd probably pick the Ultravid HD+ because of armoring/WP even though I probably use the Retrovid more.

    Leica eye candy....

Not any of those. I have avoided the 10X42 and 10/12X50 for that reason even though there is a good chance they would be fine.

    Leica eye candy....

Thanks! I was always a Swarovski Guy. Buy it and forget it. The first Leica I bough was the Leica Trinovid 10x42 in probably around 2013. Then I bought the 8X42 of the same model. Excellent binoculars both. Very similar to the Ultravid. Then when Leica came out with the UVHD+ around...

    Leica eye candy....

Thanks! A couple of BF members asked me to make some pictures and I said I would. I'll eventually do the same with Zeiss, Swarovski, and Nikon. May do another for "others."

    Leica eye candy....

Thanks! It sometimes is hard to pick just one. I usually put two in the Jeep and go or sometimes I get hung up on one or two... 7X is so user-friendly. Every magnification has its place. So far I've never had an instance where I couldn't ID a bird with 7-8X and could with 10X.

    Found 'em! LOL!!!

    Leica eye candy....

Greetings all... Thought I'd post some pictures of the Leica's I currently own. That's all of them except for a 8X42 Noctivid I failed to locate this am. I went birding too and didn't want to spend too much time looking for it. First couple of pictures is anything Trinovid. Next couple is...
