    Binoculars around £1000

    Typically 8s have slightly less false colour than 10s but the difference can be very minor and I'm not familiar with the Auroras. Personally I'd avoid the Trinovid HDs if CA is a big bug near - they've got a lot of strengths but CA control isn't one of them.

    Second-hand prices vary a lot, but along with new prices they've risen quite a bit over the last year or two. You used to be able to get the 32mm Mk2 ELs for around £1000 if you didn't mind lugs rather than field pro, but they now seem to average £1100, and the 42mm tend to be a little more. The...
