    Nikon 300mm F4 AFS with Nikon TC2III ????

    Can you autofocus with the 1.7 TC? I thought AF was only possible up to f5.6. I am interested as I use the 300mm f4 + 1.4TC as my walkabout combination and apart from the short reach I'm pleased with it.

    The pronlem with the 5000 series is that you need to use motorised lenses like the AF-S. I assume the 5200 will be no different. That wipes out a lot of very good older autofocus lenses from both Nikon and the likes of Tokina. I wish they weren't gooing on a megapixel chase either but I suppose...
