Hi Everyone, I was birding with some friends this past weekend and are embarrassed I am unable to ID this bird. It was flitting around on the ground along with other birds of the same species. I live in northeast Texas.
I heard this bird before I saw it. It had a beautiful song. Similar to a Wood Thrush. It was foraging on the ground in a horse pasture around 9:30 am in a little town south of Madison, Wisconsin USA.
Thanks!
This finch arrived at my feeder a few days ago and I'm having trouble deciding if it's a Purple or House Finch. It visits the feeder early in the morning, around lunch and again in the evening, but never stays long at the feeder. Do Purples have forked tails? This bird has a forked tail...
I finally got some good shots of some Cedar Waxwings. They are usually perched at the top of trees and are hard to get clear photos of. This morning the were flying back and forth from my pear tree to a puddle in my driveway which allowed for these photos.
Others species seen today:
Brown...
I'm searching for a new camera strap. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would like one that crosses over the shoulder and allows for ease of photographing. Any input is greatly appreciated.
