Important areas for birds are available in EU Natura 2000 Directive. Some info about birding and Google map including important birds areas layer is available on this link.
Hope this can help when planning a trip.
Eagle, Adriatic See
Date: 27-Jan-2019
Location: Mediterranean, Adriatic See, Croatia, The Island of Pag
The wing span could be 1,5-2m
Could be Lesser Spotted Eagle (Aquila pomarina). Please confirm. Thank you.
Below I attached the photo of Curlew from the same flock. The bird on the first photo has different feather details and shorter and more bent bill, so I was confused.
Location: A pond on The Island of Pag (Croatia, Adriatic see, Mediteranian)
Date: mid August 2014.
I guess this is Teal (Anas crecca), female. Am I right?

As far as I remember the bird size was similar like Little Stint but I guess the beak is shorter and legs are longer.

Thanks a lot Zheljko for comment. I saw the bird in the field together with few Hooded Crow (Corvus cornix). The size was equal to Hooded Crow so I concluded this should be Carrion Crow. Furthermore, as far as I can see the shape of the beak is not like Rook's. However I add a new photo of the...
I attached 4 photos of 3 birds. My IDs are as follows:
bird 1 (photo 1 & 2, April 2013): Little Ringed Plover (Charadrius dubius),
bird 2 (photo 3, last week): Common Ringed Plover (Charadrius hiaticula),
bird 3 (photo 4, last week): Dunlin (Calidris alpina).
Please check and confirm. Thanks...
I attached 2 photos of the same bird. The shot was done before 2 weeks on the elevation of 1100m over sea level. I'm in doubt between Chiffchaff (Phylloscopus collybita) and Willow Warbler (Phylloscopus trochilus). Due to duller flank I guess the bird could be Chiffchaff. Am I right? Thanks for...
Last week I made shots of 2 birds. They were together. The left one should be Dunlin (calidris alpina) and due to dark legs the right one could be Little Stint (calidris minuta). Please confirm. Thanks for viewing and review.
