Worcestershire Wildlife Trust Hi Nick. The building work is due to be completed by the end of this month. Following approval by the planning authority, we're hoping the hide will be open by mid-Feb. We're sorry for the delays in the...

Purely out of interest how involved does the Trust get involved with running the moors and flashes ? I assumed most of the work and decision making is made by the volunteers who do a brilliant job :-))

Quiet at lunch time
It seemed a little quiet for birds this lunchtime but I did see this common blue butterfly. I wondered if they had been seen there before ?
I was at the moors yesterday(sunday afternoon) and a couple told me that the otter had been sighted from the low concrete hide at about 3pm. I didn't see it so can't confirm but certainly there were marks in the soft mud.
Waxwings
There were at least a dozen there today at about 14.30, there is one bush still with plenty of berries on it and the waxwings seem very tolerant. :-))
