    Chiffchaff song UK - Tristis?

    Hi all, I recorded this Chiffchaff on my local patch in York this morning. Sounds good for Siberian Chiffchaff (Tristis)? Notably the bird was rather greyish on top and white underneath, with pitch black legs. But these Chiffchaffs are tricky! Any opinions appreciated. Thanks, Jan

    UK, Stockton-on-Tees. A bird that sounds like a Sandwich Tern?

    I am very confused! I just heard a bird calling while it flew over (it's dark, so I didn't see it). The flight call sounded like Sandwich Tern to me. But we live about 10 miles from the sea... Any suggestions as to what other bird this might have been? Thanks, Jan
