    UK: Could it be a Steppe Buzzard?

    That's interesting Steve, thanks, I suppose it's possible that it's an escapee, but it is not in a captive setting, it has been breeding close to where we live for the last 3 years and we have always assumed it to be a wild bird.

    Hi, Here is another photo (see my previous thread - 'please identify this Buzzard' for the first photo). This male is much larger than the other Common Buzzards in this area (Devon) and he has a distinctive red tail - any help much appreciated - thanks!
