Common Tern, Portland, Maine, May 16, 2021 (re-confirm)

Here's another shot of the two perched terns. They were mating (although I did not get any X-rated pictures ;)). I think this pictures shows more upperwing and tail field marks (lighter front edge on the wings, dark wing tips that extend beyond tail) which would confirm them to be Common Tern.

Help Id These Geese. Graylag x Swan Goose hybrids?

What is your location? They look like just domestic geese (probably with various strains of gene).

Surely a Bank Swallow? (May 12, 2021, Montauk, New York)

Hi, This bird has eluded me for the longest time (along with the Common Tern). Surely the dark chest bank should rest the case here? Thanks in advance, Howard

Common Tern, Portland, Maine, May 16, 2021 (re-confirm)

Hi, a week ago I posted the following thread: https://www.birdforum.net/threads/tern-portland-maine-may-16-2021.409087/ and it was confirmed (mostly) as a Common Tern, although there were some doubts and request to see more images. But at the time I was on the road and could not process all my...

Tern, Portland, Maine, May 16, 2021

Hi, I saw a small flock of these terns in Portland, Maine today (May 16, 2021), in the "Bug Light" area of the river/bay. My thinking is Common Tern? A large number of these were reported a few days before in the same area. Thanks in advance, Howard

Warbler (?) in Shenandoah National Park, Virginia, U.S. (May 1, 2021)

Hi, I took this picture of a warbler (?) today (May 1, 2021) at Shenandoah National Park in Virginia, U.S. The best I can come up with is a female Cerulean Warbler. Am I right? Thanks in advance, Howard

Mystery flying bird, Northern Virginia, April 24, 2021

Royal Tern would make sense, actually, thanks. It was far (high) and flew from behind me, I guess I made a snap judgement which was incorrect (excuses ..) Howard

Mystery flying bird, Northern Virginia, April 24, 2021

Hi, I took this picture today (April 24, 2021) in Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge in Virginia. At the time I was sure it was a Northern Gannet, which is somewhat usual at this location (not on the coast). But initially I did not pay attention and thought it was "just another gull" until...

Hi, I took these (2 different birds) in the Outer Banks of North Carolina on April 13, 2021, on the Atlantic Ocean side near Cape Hatteras. Grayish back, dark cap, red bill and red feet (in the second pic) == Common Tern?

    Vireo (?), northern Virginia, April 6, 2021

Thanks, after some research, I concluded that it is a Blue-headed Vireo too. Its song is similar (to an extent) to the Red-eyed, and it's early in the season, my ears are not tuned yet ;-)

    Vireo (?), northern Virginia, April 6, 2021

Hi, I took this picture today in a stream valley in northern Virginia. At the time I thought this was a Red-eyed Vireo. I hears it sing too, and I thought it was the incessant, persistent song of a Red-eyed Vireo. But now I have some doubts. But surely this is a Vireo? Does it look like a...

Which chickadee (Piedmont Virginia, Dec. 29, 2020)

Hi, Both Carolina and Black-capped Chickadees have been reported at this location (Clarke County, Virginia). I think this is a Black-capped -- an overall more contrasty bird and it seemed larger too. What do you guys think? Thanks, Howard
