    Changing to Canon Advice

    Having looked at your images, my advice would be not to rush into anything! They are excellent pin sharp pics and I couldn't see any improvement by the sort of equipment switch you're considering. In any case, I'd certainly advise waiting for the new 7D which is due sometime next year.

    Kingfisher - returns to Mere Sands Wood, Lancashire

    After several months with, to the best of my knowledge, no sightings, I was delighted to see a Kingfisher from the Lancaster hide at about 13:15. It was a long way back at the far end of the lake directly opposite the hide. Stayed on it's perch for at least 15 minutes before disappearing...

    The 70-200 2.8 is a fabulous lens and, with your 1.4 converter, you have the extra flexibility. If funds permit, I'd say go for that. Have fun!
