    Dragonfly Puzzler ID help reqd.

    I have limited knowledge of Dragonfly's etc, but i saw this at Swallow Pond Northumberland the other day. Typically had the wrong lens, and the weather was gloomy so apologies for the photo.     Unusual spider and prey.

    On a recent trip to Nolfolk i found this unusual spider, Araneus marmoreus var. pyramidatus female + what i believe is a migrant Hawker in its web. The site was hickling broad.

    Orchids in Northumberland

    Does anyone know if a comprehensive list has been drawn up of Orchids found in Northumberland ? I believe there are somewhere in the region of twenty species and some subspecies and hybrids. regards brian.

    Moth Virgin.

    Pretty new to the world of moths, and i wonder if anyone can id this. Found on Heather in Northumberland, i thought it might be a Latticed Heath. Any info gratefully received. regards brian.
