    414 Shoveler reported at Strumpshaw today, however I managed to miss them until asking for ID of other birds only to be told the "mallards" in my picture were in fact Shovelers !! This rookie still has much to learn.

    I did a loop of Whitlingham Broad this morning hoping to get a few new ticks for August, managed 3 Egyptian Goose, Coot and Canada Goose.
