Import duties on Swarovski from EU to USA?

I found a place that sells Swarovski in europe. Did anyone ever import binos? How much are the custom fees? I live in USA. I know my risks so let’s not go there. I know and trust the place. Just please help me if you know about amount or percentage charged.

    Swarovski sellers dilusional?

I have 4 Swarovski binoculars and 3 riflescopes. All bought brand new from authorized dealers. I had more but sold couple of them. Recently I wanted to buy some old used beat up pair of binoculars for my niece. So I went on eBay and Rokslide. I am seeing people asking for as much new items. I...

SLC 8x56 and 10x56 Discontinued in USA for 2022?

I agree with you. Average birder does not need anything more than 8x32. Rest is preference.

SLC 8x56 and 10x56 Discontinued in USA for 2022?

I like 8x56 because the view is forgiving , 3D and immersive. Big aperture optics have there own benefits which you may not have experienced. Maybe I am one of the lucky people who understand it and you don’t. Your experience could be unique and no need to force it on others. I met Gordon in his...

KAHLES HELIA S BINOCULARS ON BLACK FRIDAY SALE FOR $1179 + FREE SHIPPING

Optics trade offers to pay duty while shipping. My concern is that there is a lot of paperwork needed even when shipping back to Europe for service.

So true. Send them to Austria. SONA service is horrible.

Nope. They are in production but not available in USA.

NL Pure 8x42 eyepiece lens edge issue. Is this common?

I have not seen issues like these in Steiner or Meopta even in their cheapest products. I am just surprised why Swarovski is having so many issues lately.

NL Pure 8x42 eyepiece lens edge issue. Is this common?

This is common. I just received my 8x56 SLC from eurooptics. It has similar issue and some dust inside the lenses. It is unfortunate and not acceptable but very common in my experience.

    Interior blemish inside 7x42 SLC

Check with Swarovski if they will service under warrant. This could me mold.

SLC 8x56 and 10x56 Discontinued in USA for 2022?

So it is discontinued for USA only. Swarovski was not selling much of them in USA anyways. Only 15x models are popular and hold their value. I ordered another 8x56 because I like it the best out of all my binoculars.

SLC 8x56 and 10x56 Discontinued in USA for 2022?

Cameraland , Sports optics and Eurooptics have confirmed that only 15x56 will be available in future. 8x and 10x models discontinued, at least in USA. Dealers are hiking the prices so get yours while you can. Doug (Cameraland) said he cannot even see the item in the dealer catalogue so he cannot...

Why not buy more optics from Europe?

Yeah. Most manufactures offer 10 year warranty in EU and lifetime or 30 year in USA. If the product is same then why the difference?

Why not buy more optics from Europe?

So to be clear, I order Kahles Helia S that are not available in USA and I got them for $1179. Even if I had bought SLC 8x42 just before they were discontinued, they were going for $1500.
  20. J

Why not buy more optics from Europe?

Correct. For $39 you can ship it to dealer or manufacturer directly. I am pretty sure Kahles will take care of my binoculars even after 10 period is over.

Why not buy more optics from Europe?

So the difference between buying from a USA dealer vs European dealer is that in case of repair the optics need to be sent back to Europe (Austria in case of Swarovski). It only costs $39 via UPS or DHL. I will actually prefer my optics to be serviced in Austria. Am I missing something? Will I...
