    Dawn walk to Son Real today. Again didn’t see Balearic Wblr. Nightjar calling near the viewing platform, 4+Stone Curlew heard, Nightingale and a drake Pochard on the torrente

    Now in Mallorca at Exagon hotel on edge of Can Picafort. Decent birding in hotel grounds & down nearby ‘torrente’. First day noted juv Shelduck, pale morph Eleonoras, sev Audouins, Kingfisher, Hoopoes, a few badius Woodchats, numerous Med Flys, Golden Oriole, Firecrest, Fan-tailed Wblr etc

    Hi Josep, We are staying at the Exagon Park Hotel so pretty close to San Real. I was thinking of getting a taxi to the Finca & walking down to the coast. Would you suggest otherwise?

    I was on in 2000 Rob & I seem to remember a strange Wheatear coming on the CB. At the time is was suggested to be a poss BEW. However, upon closer inspection, and seeing the tail pattern well, observers agreed on it being a strange bedraggled Northern.
