    Zeiss BGAT* P v Leica Ultravid HD+ 7x42

I have recently spent time with the Victory Fl 7x42, the Ultravid HD + 7x42 and the BGAT T* P. The Dialyt is very good but, in my opinion, is showing it’s age. I didn’t find it overly bright it has a warm cast. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as the contrast is lovely. The Ultravid is...

    Zeiss Victory FL 10x56

Does anyone use the Zeiss FL 10x56? How is the eye relief with glasses? They are all listed as 16mm, however, I have the 7x42 and it has lots of eye relief.

    Zeiss BGAT* P v Leica Ultravid HD+ 7x42

Out of the two binoculars, which one is better? I know the Zeiss is much older but it gets rave reviews.

    Swarovski SLC 7x42 v Zeiss Dialyt T* P 7x42

Has anyone compared the image of these binoculars? The Swarovski is the 1990s pre-Swarobright. I know all about the handling etc it's purely the image quality I'm interested in.

    Terrible Opticron 8x50...

I actually think the 8x50 is the best in the Discovery line up.

    Opticron Discovery 7x42

Hi Gents, Sorry but it seems to me that those who regularly receive Opticron products to review never, ever say anything critical about them. I also know that others who have been constructively critical on the forum have had their words quoted back to them by Pete Gamby when he has refused to...

Could anyone help? I'm trying to find the year of manufacture for Zeiss BGAT 7x42 with serial number 257328

Leica Trinovid 8x42 very Leica Ultravid HD Plus

I'm interested in a 7x. What's the AFOV like on the 7x. I'm not interested in numbers just reality. I had the Opticron 7x42 with 122m and it was very tunnelled. I thought the Swarovski SLC 7x42 was a little tunnelled too.

Leica Trinovid 8x42 very Leica Ultravid HD Plus

I think you are right. I had a Swarovski SLC with gritty focusing and a ZEISS HT with loose play.

    Opticron DBA VHD 8x42 Review

It shouldn't happen at any price point. I imagine there's an issue with internal construction if they are truncated? Could you provide any documentary evidence that shows the figure to be approximately 3%?

    Opticron DBA VHD 8x42 Review

Typo, In your opinion, is it acceptable for a £600 binocular to have truncated exit pupils?
  21. J

    Opticron DBA VHD 8x42 Review

I agree. That review is also for the older Countryman. However, the exit pupils on the model I tried yesterday were shocking and a total disgrace. £589 is a lot of money. Helios and Celestron can make binoculars at £95 with perfectly round exit pupils. Why can't Opticron do it at circa...

    Opticron DBA VHD 8x42 Review

Frank what are the exit pupils like on yours? My friend about a VHD yesterday and both pupils were severely truncated. Not good enough for a supposed premium binocular. Clearly the QC is not robust.

    Was the Aurora a mistake?

Interesting. I'm always intrigued by the BGA Classic 7x36. I see there have been a few threads about them recently. I've never seen one for sale and I've never seen any in the flesh. Not many websites carry them either. How well do these sell? Are these still being made or is there a pile of...

    Was the Aurora a mistake?

There's one available at Merchant City Cameras in Glasgow. Chris do you know how many were made?
