    Newfoundland where to go birding?

    I may be moving to Newfoundland, St john's area, in the new year. Any advice on decent places to go birding? Either local or elsewhere on the island?

    Sardinian warbler and Bee-Eaters, we were eating breakfast on the terrace of a house near Javea on the Costa Blanca. I think this is a great thread...

    Little Egrets as close as a yard or 2, soaring Turkey Vultures (very common but still) and some kind of Terrapin (not very birdlike but a tick for me) from the terrace of the works canteen at Sugarland south of Houston.

    Lesser Kestrels and White Stork in the old part of Trujillo in Extramadura; from the restaurant patio in the main square. Gazpacho followed by Rabbit

    New from South Yorkshire

    I just found this site while looking for reviews but clearly there is a lot more to see...another site to keep me indoors....oh dear :'D I live in Sheffield and bird in the local area as well as taking some longer trips each year
