I Like the Field Pro System

I'm a very active field researcher/photographer and use my EL Fieldpro for survey work dayil. I'm often bushwhacking in the dense woods and field grasses. It's very sandy and lots of opportunity to scratch my objectives. I flip the covers down when I use the 10x42's and then right back on. I...

    Red-cockaded Woodpecker

I've gotten them about 1/2 of my visits to Olustee State Park on SR90 East of Lake City. Friendly rangers will direct you. We have always seen them on the Western side of the park. Sit in one spot and scan. The nesting trees are marked with a white ring. Good luck.

    Manual/Intruction for AT80 Habicht

Wow-thanks for that. I just inherited a AT80 and when it arrived there were loose screws inside, rattle rattle. I called Swarovski and a few weeks later it was good as new. No charge. Wow. I've since purchased 2 10x42 EL bins. What a company. I've been searching for an owners manual.

    SLC vs EL?

Speaking for Western US hunters they are even more obsessed with Optics and Swar EL is the most lusted after model for literally hours of scanning using a tripod.

Upgrade of focus knob on older 1st gen EL 10x42

thanks for the reply. So 2.5 is the norm. That's the same with my newer model that is marked 10x42 6,4* that I think makes it a Swarovision. The pair I just got had over 6 turns so something is definitely wrong. I could barely move it. Very good point about the focus is slower that would...

Upgrade of focus knob on older 1st gen EL 10x42

I just inherited a 1st gen EL 10x42 and the focus knob is a bear to turn. Plus it seems like it takes forever to make the run from far too near. I have sent then back to the factory and they said 4-6 weeks :(. Wife has a pair of Swarovision 10x42 that takes 2.5 turns from near to far and...

Hello my name is Steve and I'm a bird addict

Not a member of Birders Anonymous as I'm still using. I think my 12 step program is buying 12 binoculars and spotting scopes. I just can't stop watching birds and now it's developed into Photography. I could have stopped with just one bird photo but no I just can't quit. Having so many enablers...

I now have 3 Swarovski products and the old Gray Ghost scope was repaired quickly with in a week back to me. I just had my 10x42 Swarobrights get a new fast free center hinge cover with an eagle on it even! The Swarovision 10x42's are getting a new eye cup assembly also fast and free. Don't...

    Delurking-Michigan Snowbird

I've been lurking here for years mainly studying binoculars and camera gear. Now have the best optics and gear. Wish I had just bought the Canon and Swarovski stuff first. Pretty much retired and like privacy so won't share much other than thanks for all the great information.
