    Took my exercise this evening and walked from Copcut to Salwarpe. Crow, Canada Goose, Tawny Owl. But also had my bat detector. Soprano Pipistrelle, Pippistrelle and one other that I need to identify.

    Oh well, the third Easter holiday in a row falls victim to being cancelled. No Mallorca trip this year. Very disappointing but let's hope everyone and everything can get back on their feet as quickly as possible.

    Saturday afternoon took a walk down to Salwarpe Church. On the Copcut Lane side of the Churchfields Maize Maze field came across a large flock of finches. On closer inspection there were about 60 Chaffinches. I did scan for Brambling but with no luck.

    A Useful investment of an hour of my time this afternoon. Kingfisher on sailing pool as I arrived and then got to watch the barn Owl for 20 minutes over the flashes.

    Next November I shall be in Darwin for one day, I'm on a cruise. I plan to visit the Botanical Gardens where there is plenty of birdlife I'm told. Any other town-based birding locations that I can visit by taxi? Many thanks Rob

    Very surprised to see a Chiffchaff still, up by North Moors Hide. Two kingfishers flew across the sailing pool as I came out of the gate from the flashes.

    Good to see my first Redwing of the season at the Moors today, as well as Song Thrush and a complete quartet of Gold/Green/Bull and Chaffinch. The Kestrel dropping down right in front of the East Hide was nice as was the Peregrine flyby at the Flashes.
