    I have had great relations with our feathered friends. I have had a number of very friendly visits. Some even came in the window. It got to the stage where I had to take food out every time I went out onto the sundeck.

    We get a great number of ducks here for the winter. We also get a few quick visitors, here are three along with a regular group. Marbled Godwit, Long billed Dowitcher, Whimbrel and Black Oystercatchers.

    Easy load log feeder

    I have used log feeders for many years and came up with a neat idea. I use an apple corer. Drill holes in a log the size of the apple corer. Mix your suet mix and when hardened, cut out pieces to fit the drilled holes with the corer. I use two or three logs of different length and number of holes.
