    Serial numbers and date of manufacture

    Leica lenses and cameras can be dated by serial numbers. Is the same true of Leica binoculars? If so, does anyone know of a reference chart? Thank you.

    Can someone explain FOV to me?

    So, if you have two binos of the same magnification, how is it that they can have a different FOV? I'm thinking specifically of the Trinovid 10x40s.     Cleaning a fogged barrel early Trinovid 10x40B

    Sorry, perhaps this has been covered somewhere else, but I bought a pair of Trinovid 10x40B Portugal binoculars recently and I've noticed that doing the flashlight test through the eyepiece, one of the barrels is fogged slightly.
