    Great deals or big problems?

A couple of months ago I bought a Swaro 25-50 eyepiece for my spotting scope from 6ave (6th Avenue Electronics) for $560 that normally sells for $800. Though it was not mentioned in the ad, I expected it was a grey market item and that was confirmed with a call to Swarovski. There was also a...

    Decent High Powered Binoculars

These might be worth a try; https://www.nikonusa.com/en/nikon-products/product/refurbished-binoculars/action-extreme-16x50-atb-refurbished.html

    Decent High Powered Binoculars

I also find using a scope is very tiresome but using shitty binoculars may be worse.

    New Binocular Bargains Thread

I just bought a Swaro 25-50 eyepiece from them for $569, which sells elsewhere for $799. It is clearly marked as grey market and no US warranty. To their credit they weren't hiding it, though they "forgot" to mention it on the ad.

    Nikon Monarch HG 10x42

I'm guessing they're nearly indestructible but the weight keeps me away.

    Nikon Monarch HG 10x42

I was also thinking about the 10X42 HGs, Conquests and Trinovids. Now that I've taken the HGs off the list, any wisdom to impart between the other two?

Meopta 2x double for Meostars - still available?

It may not be a shame. I’ve had doublers and they do double the magnification but also decrease light and are a PITA to use. I may be an outlier but I find them useless.

    Celestron Nature DX warranty

My problem is that if collimation is not covered they should say something like "Limited lifetime warranty excluding collimation." In addition to that annoyance, the rep had to know it wasn't covered from the beginning but thought that a denial because lack of proof of purchase wouldn't be as...

    Celestron Nature DX warranty

A few years ago I bought two sets of the Nature DX binoculars for my grandsons and they were rarely used until I took one of the boys hunting this fall. I looked through the binoculars and saw that they were completely out of collimation. I thought there was no problem because this was in the...

How do you feel about your NL 8x42 a year or two down the line?

At considerably less cost is the RRS version. I have used it for some time and love it. Really Right Stuff Cinch-LR Binocular Adapter Polymer Molded

Has anyone noticed their NL Pure binoculars misting up?

I would also like to know this, and/or are there other anti-fog treatments that are safe and even marginally effective?

    iPhone spotting scope adapters

I bought the Gosky cheapo off Amazon and it works OK. They all seem to have big flaws that make them terribly inconvenient, so I decided a $35 mistake is better than a $170 mistake. The alignment of the phone has to be so perfect that I think it would be hard to line it up exactly each time...

Has anyone noticed their NL Pure binoculars misting up?

I noticed the problem the first time I used them in cold weather. I found some relief by screwing the eye guards all the way in and using the forehead rest to keep my eyes away from the lens. After an hour or two they typically work fine.

NL Pure - A close look, with pictures!

I have that problem and it seems worse than some others. I use and like the forehead rest and in cold mornings I screw in the eyecups and use just the forehead rest. The increased air circulation helps a lot.

    SF 8x32 broken

OK, I'm always the skeptic in these cases, having had a career in sales and police work. There are those who might drop their bins off a cliff then post on a website that it was just a just a little bump to put pressure on the manufacturer. This is most likely a valid complaint, but I think it...

    Swarovski sellers dilusional?

I'm on both of those forums too, and dearly love SA. Don't assume advertised prices on the high end Binos are set in stone. I can typically squeeze a 10% discount even if I have to wait for Cabelas to offer 10% off on the occasional Tuesday.

    Swarovski sellers dilusional?

Looks like a good deal but I think I’ll wait until they have a couple hundred reviews. It does have a “main mirror and special shockproof bag” so it’s got that going for it.

    Zen Ray's are nearly priceless!

Yeah, but $9,999.99 doesn't seem like a good price. I like mine too, but every single person I recommended them to had to return them for warranty service, and at least one of them is now useless and I can't see any point in repairing it. I still use mine but consider it very fragile and once...

    Zen Ray's are nearly priceless!

I have one without a defect and I'll sell for half that, AND ship it for free if anyone is interested. They list 23 sold, but no indication how many are left at that price...

    Tripod stud for Swarovski NL

I really like the idea behind the RRS Cinch adaptor but I wonder if there would be a tendency for it to slip a little and have one side slowly drift downward. For those who have the NL Pures and have used a stud adaptor, does the post get in the way of your hands?

Swarovski SLC 15*56 instead of scope

I really hate using a spotting scope for any length of time but I can use the 15x56 all day. Well, maybe not all day but you get the point. I am however incapable of using them without a tripod.

    Review: Zeiss Victory SF 10x32

I had the same trouble but after tweaking them over and over and ultimately putting the eyecups further in than I normally would, I have no trouble with them at all.

    SoSo Swarovski Service

I have a pair of SLC 15X56 too and I've suddenly become concerned that I may be plagued with dust particles. Could you take a look at this picture and tell me if I should return them?

    SoSo Swarovski Service

Unlike the others, I want to see every speck of microscopic dust that you can get a blurry photograph of, whether inside or outside your binoculars. We all care a great deal that you ultimately get complete satisfaction and are able to give all those incompetent workers at Swarovski the torment...

    NL 10x32 vs SF 10x32

My experience was exactly the same. Struggled with kidney beans until I figured out the eye placement, now everything is just fine.
