Kuala Lumpur KLCC Park in March

I thought so, I recognize it from Singapore. But for some reason it is marked as sensitive species in Kuala Lumpur, and generally not reported in eBird. Edit: now I can see it's probably because of trapping the birds.

Downtown Singapore - is this tailorbird identifiable?

Dark-necked Tailorbird, Common Tailorbird, Rufous-tailed Tailorbird, Ashy Tailorbird may be spotted in the area. I assume it's some tailorbird.

Singapore Gardens by the Bay - Brahminy Kite?

Terrible photo taken through glass. The white color seems to be only on head/breast, so I'm thinking immature white bellied sea eagle? EDIT: now I'm pretty sure it's Brahminy Kite.

Semenggoh Nature Reserve, Borneo - dark bluish bird

My loose hypothesis would be Asian Fairy-bluebird, but the bird seems to small, tail too short. Tail too short for Bronzed Drongo as well. A little too big for a flycatcher, right?

Bako National Park, Borneo - Curlew? Whimbrel?

If curlew, any chance to be sure whether it's Eurasian or Far Eastern Curlew? I'm pretty sure Individual 1 is whimbrel, but the second one? Individual 1: Individual 2:

Kinabatangan river (Borneo, Malaysia) - female sunbird?

    Any sunbird specialists present? ;)

Kinabatangan river (Borneo, Malaysia) - female sunbird?

I spotted another individual two days later in the same location. This one had somewhat different eyelids. By the shape of the bill I'd say I'm limited to Red-throated Sunbird and Brown-throated Sunbird. Would this one be brown-throated?

Kinabatangan, Borneo - grey headed fish eagle?

Bonus question about another individual. Would you identify this one as lesser fish eagle, or grey-headed fish-eagle? I'm inclined towards lesser because of the tail, but my experience here is small.

    Crane, Izumi, Kyushu, Japan

I had a look at eBird as well. Common crane is rare, that's a fact, but they are reported daily. There are many reports with photos, so they are probably not fake. The checklists usually have numbers like 1000 hooded crane, 100 white-naped crane, 10 sandhill crane, 4 common crane.

    Crane, Izumi, Kyushu, Japan

I'm only judging by available pictures (not from experience). Most juvenile/immature hooded cranes seem to be darker, and to have somewhat defined border between darker and lighter parts of plumage. On the other hand, immature sandhill cranes seem to have noticeable parts of beige/brownish...

Kinabatangan, Borneo - Malaysian blue flycatcher?

Malaysian blue flycatcher? Something else? I realize the photos are difficult :)

    Kinabatangan, Borneo - swift? swiftlet?

I tried many times to capture swifts / swiftlets inflight, and this is the best I have. Any chance to identify? Plume-toed Swiftlet is most populous in the area.

Kinabatangan, Borneo - crow? magpie? something else?

I know the photos are difficult :)

Kinabatangan, Borneo - little egrets or medium egrets?

The biggest one seems to be great white egret. Other birds, are they medium egrets or little egrets?

Kinabatangan, Borneo - grey headed fish eagle?

Grey-headed fish-eagle or may it be something else?

Kinabatangan river (Borneo, Malaysia) - female sunbird?

Bumping the thread, because I'm still not sure.

Kinabalu Park, Borneo (Malaysia) - warbler

Unfortunately, it's the only photo I managed to take.
  19. ParisNorway

Kinabatangan river (Borneo) - common sandpiper or wood sandpiper?

Common sandpiper is significantly more populous in the area, but the speckled plumage would suggest wood sandpiper? Or not?

Kinabatangan river (Borneo, Malaysia) - female sunbird?

    Specifically, Brown-throated Sunbird?
  21. ParisNorway

Kinabalu Park, Borneo (Malaysia) - warbler

Can it be anything other than Aberrant bush warbler?
  22. ParisNorway

Kinabatangan (Borneo, Malaysia) - White-bellied Sea-Eagle or something else?

Heavily corrected image, obviously. There were multiple White-bellied Sea-Eagles in the area. But usually they were more decidedly white colored. Is it White-bellied Sea-Eagle or something else?

Kinabatangan (Borneo, Malaysia) - night heron?

Much better choice now that I look at it. Thank you!
  24. ParisNorway

Kinabatangan (Borneo, Malaysia) - night heron?

Black-crowned Night Heron would be the most likely choice? Can't find any viable alternative in the species lists.
