Advice Needed: Injured Great Horned Owl in my yard - York, PA, USA

Thanks. That was my first instinct, too. I was planning to walk the dog instead of letting her out. It seems like the Wildlife rehab people don't do pickups. I am trying to figure out the best way to transport it.

Advice Needed: Injured Great Horned Owl in my yard - York, PA, USA

Hello, all. This morning we found an injured adult Great Horned Owl in our yard. I contacted the closest wildlife rehabilitation center in the area and am waiting to hear back. I found conflicting advice online about what steps I should take at the moment. It appears to have an injured wing...

    Red-Shouldered Hawks - York, PA, USA - 6/25/22

With the Cooper's Hawks: during April they were mating about once an hour and I saw it regularly, so I saw able to tell from observing that activity which was the male (who has mature coloring) and which was the female (who has immature coloring). Also she is quite a bit larger than he is, which...

    Red-Shouldered Hawks - York, PA, USA - 6/25/22

Hi All -- I'm still relatively new to posting here so please don't be shy about letting me know if I'm missing important details/asking my question in an unhelpful way. There is a family of Red-Shouldered Hawks that nests near my house. I was lucky enough to get to watch the male do the sky...

    Urban Cooper's Hawk

This is the male of the pair that lives next door and takes many of their meals in our yard. He is far more aggressive than she is and is probably the main reason we don't have birds at our feeders this year.

York, PA, USA -- Possibly a Warbling Vireo?

Thanks. I had done that initially to add the location (before I knew I should add the date too). Now the edit button disappeared from the first post. I am probably missing something obvious. n00b alert.
