    Pigeons Nesting Next To Garage

I've been in and out of the garage and the female has remained in the nest. This morning she left the nest, not because of anything I did, and I was able to see that there are two eggs in there. She's now back and in situ.

    Pigeons Nesting Next To Garage

Thanks for your replies. Yes, Andy, they are Wood Pigeons. They were there this morning but have now flown off. I can see into the nest but nothing has been laid yet. You can see how close my garage side door is and I can't avoid using it. I'm concerned that once the chicks arrive the mother...

    Pigeons Nesting Next To Garage

I'm assuming that pigeons are not the most intelligent birds. They are sitting in the tiniest nest with one on top of the other!

    Pigeons Nesting Next To Garage

    Baby Blackbird - Stranded

Just got home and found that he/she is no longer here, at least not in the usual spots. I don't have a very big garden so its not hard to check around the area. No signs of discarded feathers so hopefully it did find its wings!

    Baby Blackbird - Stranded

Thanks for your reply. No, doesn't appear injured but it's tail feathers don't look fully intact but maybe they just haven't developed fully? Where it's hiding (between stacked garden chairs) is very covert. I went looking for it yesterday and thought it had made its way out of the garden. It...

    Baby Blackbird - Stranded

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum but we have a baby blackbird in our garden that cannot fly and is showing no attempt to do so. What do we do as this birds lifespan is going to be short lived as we are regularly visited by neighbours cats and the bird is just hopping around our garden...

    Nesting Blue Tits

Hi to all and hello from me, the newest member! Wish I had found this forum a week ago. I had a question regarding the blue tits that nested in the bird box I put up about 18months ago. Basically, I was concerned that after hearing the chicks in the box, all went quiet after a while and one of...
