First of all, sorry for the quality of the photos. I understand some may be un-IDable. Had a great day of birding today! We were only at the marsh for 15 minutes, but we hauled in all this. The birding here is just as good if not better than it was in Florida and this place is only a couple...

Can newbies add their photos to the opus?

I'm still relatively new to the forums beyond the Bird ID Q&A, and for quite some time I've had some pictures I thought I could upload to the opus. But of course, I'm afraid I might single handedly destroy the opus, so I wanted some help. So: 1) Are newbies alowed to edit the opus? 2) If so...

Just a few IDs and bad pics I'd like to clear up. Thanks! 1- In an open field with grackles, ibises and a gull or two. Another Grackle? 2- In a dry, heavily forested swamp. No idea. 3- Same place as 2, no idea as well. 4&5- These next two are I belive the same species. Beautiful hawks they were!

    Two day trip to Florida

The first sign that it was going to be a good trip was that I got the first lifer before the plane even landed. An Anhinga was drying at a pond by the runway. We went to Corkscrew Swamp, and it started out pretty slow. But just as we were about to give up, we saw, within ten seconds of each...

    Swallow-tailed Kite!?!?!?!?!? South Carolina, USA

I was going through my pictures from our South Carolina trip last summer, hoping I'd missed something in regards to bird species. And lo and behold, I found this shot. Small gray bird description, Michigan, USA

Slightly smaller than a robin, dark gray above, light gray below, and no markings whatsoever. I'm completely stumped. I didn't see this bird, but someone gave me the desciption of it at Easter.
