Update! Back from swaro, rock solid. Swaro service replaced the bayonet locking mechanism. Who knows, maybe i messed it up switching eyepieces?

Gotta say after playing around with them all day, the focus is a non issue. I just needed to get used to it.

    7 year old 8.5x42 el’s ????? Just as good????

Ok. Here’s my first impressions. Excellent eye relief. I don’t wear glasses, but found my slc’s a little finicky on eye placement. Not these! Unbelievable depth of field. The fov, brightness, sharpness, all those seem top notch, but I don’t have another too compare. Only complaint is the focuser...

    25-50 eyepiece movement

I just picked up a used 25-50 eyepiece. I have been using the 30sw on my 65ats for a year now and never noticed any fit issues. But this 25-50 has significant movement when locked in place. Put the 30sw back on and its much tighter, but still a little movement. Checked out a new 20-60 at cabelas...

    7 year old 8.5x42 el’s ????? Just as good????

So are we saying more rolling ball for an early 2010 model, or less? I guess thats my root question. Swaro says no difference.

    7 year old 8.5x42 el’s ????? Just as good????

Has the rolling ball issue lessened from 2010 swarovision to current. Swarovski says it hasn't changed. Some here seem to suggest it has?

    7 year old 8.5x42 el’s ????? Just as good????

Been lurking for years, getting ready to buy a 2010 el 8.5x42 swarovision. I love the field pros, but can’t justify the extra dough. I know about the focuser issues on the older models, but was wondering about other diffrences. Besides the obvious, some have mentioned increased rolling ball...

swapping out eyepieces on the Swaro ATS 80

Hey safaridreamin, I purchased the 30sw for my 65 and havn't put the 20-60 back on since. What's you're feeling of the 25-50 vs the 30sw. I can't help but think that the wide zoom would be the end all eyepiece. But then again, maybe its the 30!!!

    ED50 lightweight support options

Just bought a carbon fiber monopod By VANGUARD. IT'S AWESOME, $90 on Amazon. I have the angled model ed50. I haven't bought a ballhead yet, I'm not positive I need it, because the foot on the monopod is on a ball-head. It's super strong and stable. Still searching for a 20W eyepiece, they're...
