    Can anyone i.d this fungi Sth Yorkshire woodland today.

    Definitely not going to try any apparently identical to the naked eye to another fungus (can't remember if that one was edible also). Did once mistake a mushroom for the one we usually use in cooking and it was incredibly bitter so am very wary now!

    Just had a quick Google apparently a Scarlet Elf Cup and they are said to be edible.

    About 30 mm.A little stunner. I'm out and about so can't look in my books. Cheers Andy.
