    I was pretty impressed with the Nikon monarch 7 in three configurations - 8x42, 8x30, and 10x30 - with my preference in that order. The 30mm models are remarkably small and light, while the 42 is not small or light but really lovely to use (more so than the other two imho). I heard somewhere...
