Everything you always wanted to know about IS binoculars but were afraid to ask (Q&A)

The secondhand Zeiss 20x60S may have had a fault. I measured the Canon 18x50 IS field as 3.85 degrees. I have a Binatone LED clock that has worked continuously for 50 years. There is an early battery that has worked for almost two hundred years at a university. Regards, B.

Everything you always wanted to know about IS binoculars but were afraid to ask (Q&A)

Minolta cameras had sensor shift IS. I think some cameras have both body sensor shift and lens shift. The sensor shift has the ability to shake off dust onto sticky pads. B.

Everything you always wanted to know about IS binoculars but were afraid to ask (Q&A)

The same way a tripod mounted binocular improves low light level visibility. Regards, B.

Everything you always wanted to know about IS binoculars but were afraid to ask (Q&A)

A bit at a time. Battery life varies with model and age. Some can use rechargeable batteries, some can't. Some can use lithium batteries some can't. Image quality can degrade with IS on, but this varies with the skill of the user particularly. It depends on speed of panning and model and make...
