Is the future of birding electric?

2017 CX-5 here. Great car, but have not had much chance to drive it because of lockdown. Did get me out of a muddy car park (easily) last year where the rwd car got totally stuck, and a fwd needed 3 of us to push him out.

Is the future of birding electric?

Kia and Hyundai have stolen a march over other manufacturers KB. Great cars. I think the range extender MX-30 (when it’s released) could be interesting. I’ve got a bit of a soft spot for Mazdas. I currently own one and my brother has a mk1 MX-5. Rich

Is the future of birding electric?

They’ve tested the new MX-30 in this week’s Autocar. Great looking car in my opinion but a real world range of only 100 miles limits it’s appeal.

Is the future of birding electric?

Hi Sillyak. I didn’t see it as an insult rather than agreeing with you. I was going to respond but in the UK we just don’t get those sorts of temperatures. Autocar are running an electric Corsa and it’s range is greatly affected even by temperatures nothing like as low as you mentioned. I...

Is the future of birding electric?

Are there any chargers at the reserves? Would be great to be able to turn up, plug in, then have your car charging whilst you spend a few hours birding. Can’t say I’ve ever noticed any. Rich

Is the future of birding electric?

Renault are looking at introducing a couple of small electric vehicles and reviving some old names. The 5 and the 4. Initially the designs look great. An MX-30 with a range extender (when they introduce it) could definitely be a viable option for us after a couple of years of depreciation. Rich

Is the future of birding electric?

Octavia phev looks an interesting option. My office (if I can remember the way!) is just over 30 miles away. If I can charge up there it certainly would be economically viable.

Is the future of birding electric?

Fully Charged is a decent YouTube channel for electric vehicles. Presented by Robert Llewelyn. (Kryten) Really liked my Octavia Steve. Great space for the family, decent amount of poke, reliable and fuel efficient. Rich

Is the future of birding electric?

Recent article in Autocar comparing a Polestar 2 to an XC40. Depending on where your electricity is generated, it could take more than 40,000 miles for it to be considered greener. Figures supplied by Polestar. Rich

Hyundai already have a Hydrogen fuelled vehicle on sale Dan. The 2 main issues at the moment are cost, and hardly any places to get Hydrogen. Rich
