    November Moths

Trapped Thursday night and big fat nothing on Friday morning. I'll need to feel quite confident to get the trap out again in the near future! John

    November Moths

I guess I was relatively lucky then with four moths: one November agg, two LBAMs and a December Moth! If we get another dry night (maybe at the end of the week) I'll go again. John

My trap out again tonight after a few nights off. Fingers crossed for all of us! John

Nice one, I didn't trap last night as it rained all day and all night! John

    November Moths

A few recent pix: December Moth X 2 - what a cracking moth this is! Belted about all over the place, got stuck in a spider web, then after I got it out, belted about again before climbing up the moth trap flapping like crazy and finally settling down on the outside of it. Feathered Thorn male...

2 November aggs and a Feathered Thorn for me last night, it was cooler early in the night but wet by this morning. John

I could contradict that.... You'd get a Chestnut roasting if I open fire! 3:-) John

    November Moths

Joint list is missing Chestnut? I mentioned having two upthread. Two December Moths present this morning (one still there from when I first encountered it last night): also a Feathered Thorn and a Common Marbled Carpet. Also picked up a garden bird year tick last night with Wigeon calling...

    November Moths

Moths again this morning despite a much wetter night than forecast: one each of Pale Mottled Willow, Blair's Shoulder Knot, Grey Pine Carpet and Large Wainscot (tick, and my 200th moth this year!) Not a tick but now photographed for the first time, my NFY December Moth this evening bombing...

    November Moths

Moths again last night: 2 Chestnuts (NFY), a Least Carpet, a Red-green Carpet, a Common Marbled Carpet and a Light Brown Apple Moth. I'll go again tonight despite the forecast showers. John

    November Moths

Another mild night and some more moths: one each of Yellow-line Quaker, Satellite (NFY), Feathered Thorn, Red-green Carpet and Vines Rustic. Fairly happy with that! John
  12. Farnboro John

    November Moths

To my slight surprise, three moths in the trap this morning: Black Rustic, Cypress Carpet and Large Yellow Underwing. Not going to set the world on fire but better than nothing! John

    November Moths

I'm also trapping tonight but prepared for an empty trap in the morning - happened a few times recently! John
