Hi all, the Firecrest was in the hollies along the Handsworth path late morning, but had moved to the oaks around the gun emplacements with some tit flocks by 1300, unless there were two birds (today's bird seemed whiter to me!). Cheers Gaz- Merlin001

A Red Kite was circling over Sandwell Hospital at 1430 this afternoon. Seen from Little Lane car park. Tried to get a shot using my mobile phone but it wouldn't focus.- Merlin001

Hoopoe still there at midday today. Park on Millers Green Drive off Enville Rd. Low metal gate is opposite MG Drive and easily "climable" ! Go up small grassy landscaped hill keeping left to avoid fenced-off part (very wet clover clumps underfoot) and bird is usually somewhere on top, in hedge...- Merlin001
