    Which binoculars?

    Unless he's only interested in 42s. If not, for another £50, the 8x32 Conquests here might be an option, if he gets lucky. Only tried the Hawke from the list, but it's my most used binocular and comparable (to me) with views from Conquest 10x32 and EL SV 10x32. I love it. Also a spectacle wearer.
