    Should I by a bridge/superzoom camera *instead of* a scope?

    Can you not get a higher magnification eyepiece for your scope? Agree with Delia depends on your birding too. A superzoom can be great for occasional imaging of distant birds or getting record shots of far or even closer birds, but a scope will be nicer viewing.
