Yes, it's lovely to see Yellowhammers making a comeback. I've got one Up the Hill on my patch and also at the Mause Feeders. Been about 5 years since I've seen so many.

I've added the scientific name to the tags along with the full common name. However, there must be something wrong with the search parameters as neither your video, nor others which should be there are showing. I can't work out what is wrong so I've asked the more technically clever for...

A lovely video that Scoz. You could now upload that one to the Gallery as well. If you do, could you add " video " to your Tags. That way it will ensure it gets picked up in the Video Search on the Opus article.

I think I may have heard some when I had a holiday in the Borders a few years ago, but otherwise not had any up here. The last I saw of them was 20 years ago when I was in Sussex! A Great Reed Warbler now... saw one of them at Kinnordy! That'd be good, wouldn't it LOL

Gosh!! What lovely pictures you got. Didn't realise there used to be a mill there! Good luck with the Reed Warbler, I hear there was a breeding attempt at the Tay Reed beds a year or so ago, but don't know what the result of that was. Otherwise I've not heard of any up here... are there any???

I seem to have nestling Starlings, as the adults are going mad for the meal worms just now. They'll no doubt be in the garden before too long!

Yeah... they sure do LOL. Not only that, but their calls seem to echo, so they could be on the opposite side of the valley altogether sometimes!! Oh but it is.... you'll be losing sleep over it eventually until you get your picture LOL. This was happening to me for a while over Jays... got him...

LOL that can be the tricky part!! I was up in the hills around Drumderg yesterday and didn't hear one, though was hoping to. Hoped, also, to find Wheatear and Stonechat, but nadda. Loads of Skylarks and Meadow Pippits enjoying the mist, which made it difficult to see anything beyond the...
