    I was wondering why It was called a ring neck duck until I processed the photo's, Pic 3 and 5 shows the faint coloured ring round the neck, Well! I'm assuming thats the reason for the name. You assume right!:-O

    Did you get that Gull book for christmas? I got one, its amazing. I was lucky enough to see a Caspian Gull at Teesside last winter. Its surprising how they actually stand out amongst the other Gulls.

    The Citrine Wagtail was showing very well between 3.30 and 4.00, right next to the Sand Martin colony. Viewing from the cafe balcony, I didnt even need the bins at times!
